About
I’m David — I spend a lot of my free time building and breaking things on my own network, and a lot of the rest of it thinking about Fortaleza, Brazil, where my girlfriend and her family live.
This blog is where both of those live.
On the security side, I run a home lab that’s part learning ground, part detection-engineering sandbox, part “let’s see what happens if I expose this to the internet and watch it get scanned.” I write about what I build, what breaks, and what I learn chasing down the why behind an alert. I’m not an expert — I’m documenting the climb, not reporting from the summit.
On the Fortaleza side, it’s trips to see the people who matter most there, picking up the language and the city along the way. Different muscle, same curiosity.
No sponsored posts, no engagement bait, no funnel. Just a public notebook I happen to let other people read.
